Prague, Vlatava, me, us...

Bismillah

This is a picture of one of the street in Prague... Not in the center but somewhere in the outskirts of the city... Ain't it nice? There were no one, as it's Sunday... Taken on the way back from the ambassador's open house...

This is the picture of the sunset at Vlatava River... Just in front of the hostel I live in... I was approached by two dogs... They want to 'bermanje' with me... Actually, I'm not afraid of dogs... But the dogs here are huge... The first dog came running at me... It got to me and I jumped and shouted "Prosim pani!!!" (which means Madame, please help...) I thought the dog wanted to bite me... Hehe... Luckily the owner was kind enough to help...

Second dog came right after it saw me... I utilized my first experience with dog by just standing still... It came, scratched on my legs... Don't know what to do, I pat its head... It seemed to like it, but luckily it didn't lick me, you know... Like in the movies, when the dog licks someone he/she likes... Hehe... Perasan...

The view from my hostel, one of the tallest building in Prague... Hehe... This is during sunrise...

Candid picture taken by Anep... Honestly, I didn't pose for this... Hehe...

Which leads me to this picture... Hehe... I really miss you guys... Sorry if I don't have the picture of others... I recently reformatted my lappie as Windows SP3 update has caused problems with my internet connection... It doesn't matter really, whether your picture is in or not... Remember, 皆は私の中心にある (Minna wa, watashi no nakakokoro ni arimas!!!) Tah betul tah tak translation tu...

Raya

Bismillah

These are our kuih raya... Very very basic... Nothing extraordinary...

We came late that day so got to pray outside... It was freezing... Like praying in a refrigerator...

The after prayer sermon... It was very good, except for the fact that I don't understand Arabic... What a shame...

Currently I want to learn these languages...
  • Czech - Coz I'm here!!!
  • Arabic
  • Mandarin - Hehe...
Well, they are just dreams... But everything starts with a dream...

Beggar and Public Transportation in Prague

Bismillah

This is a beggar I saw in Prague old town square, near the place where we bought our cinnamon rolls... One thing that I noticed is that there were less beggar here compared to back in Malaysia... One saddening thing is that these people use money given to them to buy booze... Well, after some thoughts, I guess that's kinda rational for them as alcohol can be used to heat up the body... And by the position of his body, I think, he's cold...

But as alcohol causes the blood capillaries to dilate, hence giving the drinker the sensation of warmth... Unfortunately, this is misleading however, as dilation of capillaries causes more heat to be lost...

I don't know... Never had the chance and desire to try that thing... Haha...

This is the escalator heading to the Prague Metro station in Radlická (pronounced Rad Lits Ka), ... It leeds deep through the soil of Prague... For the whole metro, there were only 3 lines, namely A,B and C... So it's kinda easy to understand how the system works...

The service is very very very very very efficient, as compared to KTM Komuter or even, LRT... In working days it usually takes less than 3 minutes for a train to arrive... In weekends, waiting time can stretch up to 7 minutes...

We pay around 720Kc (RM140) every 3 months to use the entire public transport system which includes bus, tram and the metro...

For the bus and the metro, it's also punctual... At stops, there will be a schedule and the tram or bus will arrive exactly as the time stated there (Provided that you synchronized your watch or timepiece with the official time)... This makes planning for a journey easy and practical...

Pedestrian crossing is very useful... If you want to, just cross the road and the traffic will surely stop to let you go...

That is the tram... There are many types of tram here... This is one of the more modern ones...

Attention...

Bismillah

Firstly, welcome to my new photoblog... Captions will insyaAllah come later... I'm kinda busy right now... With the test coming next week, I'll have to prioritize...And frankly, as for now, I guess blogging will be somewhere at the bottom of the list... Hehe...

Prague Night III

Wanita I, Wanita II, Pecal, me, Ajik, Wafi, O...

First and second pictures are of buildings which names are unknown to the writer... Hehe... But they all are located at the old town square...

Next photo shows Karlovy Lazne, the largest music club in Central Europe... Well, like I care... Hehe...

Lastly is the photo of us on the Charles Bridge, with Lazne as the background... Mane Sg. Vltava? Well, honestly, the weather that night was very cold and windy... As you can see, I didn't have my jacket with me... In fact, even those with jackets felt unusually cold... May be because it was raining earlier that day, I guess... So we didn't even get to the middle of the Charles Bridge...

Prague Night II

Some buildings and structures in the old town square at night...

The picture above is of me, Ikhwan and Wafi (Bukan nama sebenar) posing while eating cinnamon bread roll... I've been yearning to eat it since Ramadhan, hehe... That night I finally got my chance... It costs about 50Kc, which is about RM10... Expensive? Yeah... 50Kc for bread is considered expensive here... Usually it will be less than 20Kc...

Tapi sebab mengidam dan mengenangkan roti ni hanye dijual di tempat tourist (menyebabkannye menjadi mahal), terpakselah kaut jugak... Lagi-lagi bukan pakai duet sendri pon... Pecal (tiada dalam gambar) yang belanja...

Taste? Well, it was OK, but considering the price... Better think twice... Not really worth it...

Prague Night I

These two pictures above are taken somewhere along the Winceslas Square... Blurry? Yeah I noticed that... To take pictures at night, I'd have to stand as still as the statue of Winceslas himself... Nevertheless, I still think that they looked nice...

This is a stall selling grilled meat and hot dogs... It was written there 'Euro Hot Dog'... It smells really really good around the stall... Grilled hot dogs hanging on the beams looked very inviting indeed... But alas, the things that they are selling is not halal... So I can only keep smelling and sniffing... Hehe...

The following conversation happens near Darling Cabaret...

"Boy, stop!!! You've got to try our **tch** man!!! 2000Kc only (approx. RM400)!!!", shouted one man to me, stopping me from passing a disco...

"You know bitches?", asked another man...

I nodded and said that I don't have any money...

"Then come in for free beer or 1500Kc for a **tch, man!!!" giving me some kind of discount...

I explained that I can't and don't want to go in and luckily, the man let me go untouched...

Now... Do I look like someone who is interested in free (as in bebas) and random sex? And beer? Hmm I don't know...
